Terroir Tourism for Cannabis: Inside the Hash Flight Farm Retreat
What Napa did for wine, the Emerald Triangle is for cannabis. The Hash Flight Farm Retreat is a five-day immersion through Northern California's cannabis heartland: private farm visits, guided hash tastings, terpene education and chef-curated meals, with the people who built cannabis culture before legalization. In September 2026, our first group of passengers made the trip.
This is not a vacation. It is an invitation.

A retreat, not a cannabis tour
A tour is sightseeing: a bus, a stop, a photo. The Farm Retreat is built the way wine country retreats are built: multi-day, all-inclusive, and intentional about every moment. Transportation from San Francisco, lodging, every meal, every tasting, farm access and the education program are all included. Your only job is to show up.
Why terroir matters
Sun-grown cannabis carries the signature of its land, just like wine. Soil, sun, elevation and the hands that tend the plants all show up in the flower, and in the solventless hash made from it. The best way to understand that is to stand in the rows where it grows, then taste the hash those plants become.

The route: Sonoma, Humboldt and Trinity County
Our first retreat headed north from the Bay Area through some of the most important cannabis-growing regions in the world:
- Day one, Sonoma County: Luma Farms and Moon Valley Cannabis, on the way north to the Ganjier Campus in Southern Humboldt
- Day two, Southern Humboldt: Huckleberry Hill Farms, home of Whitethorn Rose, then an infused dinner at the Ganjier Campus
- Day three, Trinity County: Emerald Queen Farms and Hash and Flowers, then a night at Strawhouse on the Trinity River
- Day four, Humboldt: a walk among the redwoods, Cannifest, Humboldt Seed Company, and the Chillum sesh

Learning at the Ganjier Campus
The Ganjier Campus in Southern Humboldt is the home of the cannabis industry's most respected certification program, and it was our home base for most of the retreat. Education here isn't a classroom: it is walking rows with a farmer, tasting hash at the source, and sitting down to an infused dinner on campus. Train your palate with the people who wrote the curriculum.

Living history, from the people who lived it
The legacy farmers of the Emerald Triangle built cannabis culture long before legalization. The farms on the route are private, working farms, and the retreat is a rare way to meet these cultivators on their land, walk their rows and taste their hash at the source.

Small group, consumption optional
The group is intentionally small, so every stop is a real conversation instead of a photo op. Every tasting is optional: the experience is built around education, farms and culture, and you decide what and how much you take part in. Guests must be 21 or older with a valid ID. Cell service is limited in parts of the Emerald Triangle, and that is part of the point.
